An executive director of research

Thierry Jamin

French researcher and explorer, graduated from the universities of Tours and Toulouse – France U.E., passionate about the Inca civilization, he has been devoting his research, for fifteen years, to the study of the permanent presence of the Incas in the Amazon rainforest. After many expeditions, he may be reaching the gates of his ultimate goal: the "glorious" lost city of Paititi. Thierry Jamin, president of the Inkarri Institute – Cusco, is also the Executive Director of the Machu Picchu project 2012.

Hilbert Sumire

Peruvian archaeologist, he is the official director of the various archaeological projects presented to the Peruvian Ministry of Culture (National Register of Archaeologists N° BS – 0855).

Daniel Ángel Merino Panizo

Daniel Merino

Spanish archaeologist, specialist in the study of archaeological sites in a funerary context at the Complutense University of Madrid, Daniel Merino has participated in numerous research projects in Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Peru, notably at the Chan Chan site.

José Benigno Casafranca Montes

José Casafranca

As vice president of the Inkarri Institute in Cusco, José has been retired from the Peruvian National Police for several years. He fought against Shining Path for fifteen years and was a member of a high-altitude mountain rescue unit in Cusco. Since 2009, he has been Thierry Jamin’s right-hand man and the Safety and Logistics Coordinator and Manager.

The man at the origin of this story

David Crespy

David Crespy

French engineer based in Barcelona, David Crespy is at the origin of this incredible story. As if possessed by this irrepressible desire to know the answer to the enigma of this mysterious "door", he financed the entirety of the first stage of this project and participated, with the group Inkarri, in the resonances of April 2012. Quite a character!

Edward Valenzuela Gil

Manager of the production company Neviza TV, Edward has been the official cameraman for Thierry Jamin’s team since 2009. A truly off-road man and a super professional! He is responsible for public relations at the Inkarri Institute – Cusco and covered the entire first stage of the Machu Picchu 2012 operation.

Alain Bonnet

Alain Bonnet

Alain is manager of the audiovisual production company Jungle Doc Productions which he runs with Thierry Jamin. Since 2003, he has been the Communications Manager for Thierry Jamin’s research (websites, Facebook, etc.) and co-director of films distributed on VOD, notably on the Machu Picchu case.
