The book
Machu Picchu and the Secret Chamber
by Thierry Jamin

Thierry Jamin, a French researcher and explorer, has been traversing the Amazon rainforest of southern Peru for over twenty years, searching for the lost city of the Incas: the “mysterious” city of Paititi. After more than twenty exploration expeditions into the South American jungle, Jamin is convinced that the discovery of this legendary Eldorado is imminent. It was upon returning from his 2011 expedition that he received a strange message from a certain David Crespy. This Frenchman, based in Barcelona, was convinced he had located, at the heart of the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, a mysterious door—“visible, yet invisible”—sealed by the Incas nearly five centuries ago. This marked the beginning of an incredible story, full of countless twists and turns, blending scientific research and archaeological rivalries against a backdrop of death threats. At stake was one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of the early 21st century.

The Last Secrets of Machu Picchu
by Thierry Jamin and Alain Bonnet
This two-part documentary, each episode running 1 hour and 15 minutes, tells the story of an incredible discovery made at the heart of one of the world’s most famous archaeological sites: Machu Picchu. Underground chambers, likely burial sites, are believed to lie behind a door blocked by stones beneath one of the city’s most important buildings: the Temple of the Three Doors. It also tells the story of the Inca Empire, the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors that led to the fall of this civilization, and the mystery of the disappearance of all the royal mummies, including that of Pachacútec.
This incredible and incredible tale, full of twists and turns, was documented in its entirety—and filmed—by the cameramen at Jungle Doc Productions.
